Biographical Information

Ghanaian-Japanese Kenta Bright has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Bright was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the first round of the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Eiji Shotsu. He hit .211/.283/.317 with 3 homers in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he improved to .309/.398/.488 with 7 homers in 2023. He also played 33 games with a .241/.323/.310 batting line for the top team, and he got his first hit against Sotaro Shimauchi. Bright then hit .239/.314/.370 in 35 games as a backup outfielder in 2024.

He wears number 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson.
