Biographical Information[edit]
Kei Ichihara was drafted by the Daiei Hawks in the 8th round of the 1991 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons. He was released in 1993, and the Chunichi Dragons signed him. Ichihara was 4-for-17 in 1995, and he went 0-for-6 in 18 games in 1996. He played 22 games with a 0-for-4 record in 1997, and he was traded to the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 1998. Ichihara only got one at-bat in the next two seasons, and he was 0-for-6 with 7 runs in 29 games in 2001. He didn't return to the big club in 2002, and he announced his retirement. His father Minoru Ichihara also played in NPB.
