Biographical Information[edit]
Kazuto Moriyama was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 6th round of the 1991 NPB draft, but he only got 2 at-bats for the big club and the Buffaloes released him in 1998. The Daiei Hawks picked him up, but Moriyama only played 17 more games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2002. Moriyama coached the independent Kochi Fighting Dogs from 2005 to 2007, Tokushima Indigo Socks from 2008 to 2013 and Ehime Mandarin Pirates from 2014 to 2015. He also coached Nagasaki International University from 2016 to 2019, taking over when Toshiharu Nagare passed away during 2016.
