Kano Omoda played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years.
Omoda signed with the Tokyo Senators in 1937, and he hit .237/.293/.339 with 7 triples in the spring season. He was 3rd in triples in the Japan Professional Baseball League, 1 behind Shosei Go and Jungo Igaue. Omoda then had a .215/.296/.319 batting line in the fall season, and he was 10th in doubles (8,9 behind Harris McGalliard). He improved to .289/.358/.380 in 1938 spring season, and he hit .300/.400/.387 in the fall season. Omoda was 3rd in batting (between McGalliard and Kinji Nakamura) and 2nd in doubles (10, 1 behind Fumio Fujimura). He played 96 games with a .276/.383/.408 batting line in 1939, and he was 10th in batting (between Haruyasu Nakajima and Koichi Yamashita), 4th in rRBI (between Jimmy Horio and Kazuto Tsuruoka), 6th in doubles (6 behind Nakajima) and 7th in hits (between Kenjiro Matsuki and Horio. However, he then enlisted into the military and his professional career ended. He later coached Matsuyama Commercial High School.
Overall, Omoda hit .261/.339/.359 with 275 hits and 9 homers in 5 seasons in NPB.
