Biographical Information

Kaito Mouri has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Mouri was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 2nd round of the 2025 NPB draft; the scout was Tsuyoshi Sugano. He was named Lotte's opening day starter, and it was the first time that two rookies were named opening day starters in the draft era (the other is Kazuyuki Takemaru of the Yomiuri Giants). Mouri made his NPB debut on March 27, 2026 against the Seibu Lions, and he got his first strikeout against Sosuke Genda. He got his first win with 5 shutout innings, and he was the first Lotte rookie to get a win on opening day since Yoshimi Ebara in 1950, the year that the Marines were founded.
