Biographical Information

Kaito Iriyama has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Iriyama was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the 3rd round of the development phase in the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Shogo Makita. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons, going 5-3 with 13 saves and a 2.36 ERA the first year. That tied him for 8th in the Western League in wins and he trailed only Keisuke Kobayashi and Shuto Ogata in saves. In 2024, he tied Sho Iwasaki and Daisuke Sobue for third with 8 saves. Making it to the big club, he had a 5.02 ERA in 15 games in 2025.
