Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Jordan Kendall played in the minor leagues in 2008 and 2010. He was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 11th round of the 2007 amateur draft, a few picks after infielder Brad Emaus. He was signed by scout Mike Wilder.
In 2008, he hit .319/.363/.449 with 3 home runs, 26 RBI and 20 steals in 48 games for the rookie-level Bristol White Sox. He was an Appalachian League Post-Season All-Star that year. He tied Alex Castellanos for second in the league in steals, behind Justin Greene's 26, and led the league in times caught stealing, with 15. Despite his impressive start, that was his only active season in the White Sox chain, as he elected free agency on June 23, 2009. He signed with the Tijuana Cimarrones of the independent Golden Baseball League for 2010. He functioned mostly as a pitcher, going 1-3 with a 9.93 ERA in 12 games (3 starts). He allowed 42 hits and 21 walks in 22 2/3 innings for a 2.779 WHIP. He had 1 hit in 8 at-bats at the dish. The Arizona Diamondbacks signed him prior to the 2011 campaign, but released him before the regular season began.
