Jake Sankal

Biographical Information[edit]

Jake Sankal was a minor league strength and conditioning coach. He worked in the Cleveland Indians system starting in 2009 and became full-time in 2010. In 2010, he was with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, in 2011 he was with the Kinston Eagles (earning Carolina League Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year honors) and in 2012 he was with the Carolina Mudcats. He shifted to the Akron Aeros/RubberDucks from 2013 to 2015.

He later left baseball for football, serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Washington Redskins. After that, he became the Florida Gators' director of football nutrition and assistant strength and conditioning coach.
