Biographical Information

Ilya Sulaiman Dali has been on the Malaysian national team.

He had a rough debut; in the 2024 East Asian Baseball Cup, he replaced Vimallan Palaniandy in the 3rd with a 12-0 deficit against Thailand. In his inning of work, he surrendered 9 hits, 7 walks and 18 runs (7 earned) while striking out one (Phongsathon Nituthon) before Wan Nazirul relieved. Despite his limited workload, he tied Nazirul for 3rd in the tourney in runs allowed and trailed only Rohaizimi Md Aiman Faqth Mohd in earned runs.

In the 2025 Southeast Asian Games, he was roughed up by the Gold Medal winners (the Philippines) and Silver Medal winners (Thailand) with a 29.25 ERA over two outings. He was 5th with 16 runs allowed, was 3rd with 13 earned runs (after Pham Manh Chien and Ardhi Tristan Shah) and trailed only Shah with 5 wild pitches.
