Biographical Information[edit]
Hidenori Minami was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 2nd round of the 1978 NPB draft, and he only pitched 9 games for the big club before the Swallows traded him to the Kintetsu Buffaloes for cash in 1985. He then stayed in the minors for most of the next three seasons, and the Buffaloes traded him with Kazuya Sumitomo to the Hanshin Tigers for Hideaki Sato and Masaaki Fukuya. Minami failed to return to the big club again, and he he announced his retirement in 1989. He later became a judicial scrivener.
