Biographical Information

Hidehiko Ichihashi was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the first round of the 1970 NPB draft. He only pitched one game for the big club before the Buffaloes traded him with Yozo Nagafuchi and Toshikazu Hattori to the Nippon Ham Fighters for Toshizo Sakamoto and Kenichi Yaezawa in 1975, and he was turned into an infielder. Ichihashi didn't reach the top team before the Fighters released him in 1978, and he signed with the Lotte Orions. He was 0-for-5 in 1981, and he went 5-for-21 in 1982 then he retired.
