Biographical Information

Haruto Shoji has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Shoji was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 4th round of the development phase in the 2023 NPB draft; the scout was Ryo Kawano. He was 8-5 with a 2.35 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2024, and he ranked 2nd in the Eastern League in ERA (.011 behind Kousuke Sakaguchi), 2nd in wins (1 behind Sakaguchi) and 7th in strikeouts (73, between Kota Tatsu and Teppei Mataki). Shoji was 3-8 with a 3.98 ERA in the minors in 2025, and he made his NPB debut on June 6, 2026 against the Softbank Hawks; he got his first strikeout against Tomoya Masaki.
