Biographical Information

Teppei Mataki had pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Mataki was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 5th round of the 2023 NPB draft; the scout was Keisuke Kishi. He had a 6.10 ERA in 3 starts in 2024, and he went 5-3 with a 2.07 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues. Mataki also had a 1.72 ERA in 7 games for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in the winter.
