Biographical Information

Kota Tatsu had pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Tatsu was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the first round of the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Seiya Kumazaki. He debuted against the Rakuten Golden Eagles on September 25, 2022, and he pitched 3 shutout innings that season. Tatsu was 2-5 with a 5.15 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, and he went 6-3 with a 3.72 ERA there in 2024. He also pitched 5 shutout innings for the big club in 2024.

Tatsu's repertoire features a fastball that peaks at 96.3 mph, a forkball and a slider.
