Biographical Information[edit]
Tomoya Masaki has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Masaki was a college star in the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League, and he crushed a game-winning home run against Fukui University of Technology in the final of the 2021 All-Japan University Baseball Championship Series. He was named the tournament MVP. The Fukuoka Softbank Hawks selected him in the 2nd round of the 2021 NPB draft. He hit .254/.367/.448 in 2022, but he struggled in 2023 as he went 1-for-26 with the big club. Masaki broke out in 2024, and he crushed 7 homers with a .270/.310/.430 batting line. He was 0-for-6 in the 2024 Nippon Series, and the Hawks lost to the Yokohama BayStars in 6 games.
