Harold L. Siroka
Harold Siroka began umpiring in the New York-Penn League in 1976 and 1977. He moved to the Carolina League in 1978. He was unusually old for a debuting minor league umpire, as he was already in his 50's when he got his first professional assignment.
After getting released in March of 1979, was immediately hired to work a number of games in both the American League and National League when the regular major league umpires went on strike at the start of the season. Being based in New York, NY, he could work both New York Yankees games at Yankee Stadium and New York Mets games at Shea Stadium, appearing in a total of 19 games.
