Biographical Information[edit]

Hangang Hou played for the Beijing Tigers in the China Baseball League, and he represented China in the 2018 U-18 Asian Baseball Championship and 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup (hitting .227/.280/.273 and handling 9 putouts in center) [1] In the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup, he was 1 for 9 with a walk and had 6 putouts. [2] He was on China's roster for the 2025 Asian Championship. Hou was 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored against Pakistan, and he also hit a double against Faisal Hayat. He then went 0-for-4 versus the Philippines, and he collected 2 singles against MVP Kazuki Kondo of Japan in 3 at-bats. Hou had a 1-for-4 record against of South Korea, with a single off Kang-hoon Woo, and he completed a sacrifice bunt against Meng-Yang Lu of Chinese Taipei in their next game. In the Bronze Medal Game, Hou was China's starting left fielder, and he was 1-for-4, with a RBI single against Jung-min Park. China lost to South Korea in the game. [3]
