Biographical Information[edit]
Fritz Mendiola Jr. was the center fielder for the Federated States of Micronesia national team in the 2025 Pacific Mini-Games; one presumes he was related to teammates Tayshaun Mendiola and Steve Mendiola Jr. Hitting 9th in their opener, he struck out against Ray Rumong of champion Palau his first time up. He got his first hit off Francisco Lieto of defending champ Northern Mariana Islands. He had 3 runs and 2 RBI against Fiji then was not retired in the Bronze Medal Game, driving in two in a loss to the Northern Marianas. He finished the event at .462/.563/.462 with 5 runs and 5 RBI in 5 games, fielding .900. He tied for third in runs, one behind Spencer Dickinson and Seth Seklii. He also tied Leon Guerrero and JT Loyola for 3rd in hits (6), was 5th in RBI, while finishing 4th in average and making the top 10 in OBP. [1]
