Biographical Information

Farid Cijntje has been on the Curaçao national team. He is the brother of Jurrangelo Cijntje and son of Michelangelo Cijntje.

Farid was with Curaçao for the 2025 Bolivarian Games. In his lone pitching appearance, he relieved Nathan Diaby in the 6th with a 7-3 deficit against Gold Medal winner Colombia. He allowed a Carlos Arroyo single, retired Daniel Vellojin, threw two wild pitches, yielded a triple to Jesús Marriaga, tossed a run-scoring wild pitch, walked Guillermo Quintana, gave up a Dario Borrero single, threw another wild pitch, got José Ramos on a run-scoring grounder and retired Jaider Morelos to end the frame. Ruchano Petronia succeeded him. He also pinch-ran once in the Games. Despite his limited time, he tied Diaby and Jorge Sivirichi for the tourney lead in wild pitches.
