Biographical Information

Pitcher Eliazer Suero played in the Tampa Bay Rays system from 2008 to 2013, peaking at High-A. In 2009, with the GCL Rays, he posted his only season with an ERA below 4, when he went 2-3 with a 3.38 ERA in 12 games (5 starts). In 2011, he had his only winning season, going 8-6 with a 4.43 ERA in 27 games (10 starts) for the Bowling Green Hot Rods. He was an Appalachian League Mid-Season All-Star that year. In 2012, he tied Chase Huchingson, Matt Loosen and Albert Suarez for the Florida State League-lead in hit by pitches with 12.

Overall, Suero went 20-31 with a 4.72 ERA in 119 games (50 starts). In 407 2/3 innings, he allowed 425 hits and 168 walks (1.455 WHIP), while striking out 301 batters.
