Biographical Information[edit]

Derrick White had a professional career that spanned from 1991 to 2008, with stops in the United States, Canada, South Korea, Mexico and Japan. In his final season, at 39 years old, he hit .327/.400/.520 in 102 games between two Mexican League clubs. He had nearly 2,300 hits and 300 home runs, per records available. Just 3 of those home runs came in the major leagues and 2 of those were in his first cup of coffee with the Montreal Expos in 1993. The first, hit off Mark Davis, came in just his fourth big league game and was his third career hit. He also victimized Eric Hillman and Scott Eyre.
