Biographical Information

Davy Phrathep has been on the Laotian national team alongside his brother David Phrathep.

He hit .396 as a high school senior and was 0 for 4 for Florida International University in 2018. The brothers made the Lao American Sports Hall of Fame. In the 2025 Southeast Asian Games, they suited up for Laos. Davy got into two games. Against Malaysia, he relieved Youtthasat Herpaoyang in the 2nd with 2 outs, a 3-2 lead and two on. He walked Muhamad Arif Anuar but fanned Syamier Zulkiffli to escape the jam. He worked five innings, allowing five hits, three walks and two runs (one earned) while striking out 6 before Yohan Xaiyaphone closed it Phrathep's win over Rohaizimi Md Aiman Faqth Mohd; it was one of Laos's two wins in the event. He was 1 for 3 with a RBI that day as well. His other game, he started at catcher instead of Nee Va Va but was retired twice by Mar Joseph Carolino of the Philippines then gave way to Va. He led the team in ERA (1.68 ahead of Xaiyaphone) and trailed Yayua Wa for their strikeout lead, 7 to 6.
