Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Dario Nunez played in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Nunez was signed by the California Angels in 1984, and he hit .256/.304/.279 for the Pocatello Gems. He also played 9 games for the Salem Angels, and he was 5-for-20. Nunez only hit .174/.207/.186 and fielded .897 in 1985 with the Quad Cities Angels, then he recorded a .267/.312/.302 batting line for the Palm Springs Angels in '86. His batting line was .236/.304/.296and fielded .945 in Palm Springs in 1987, then he batted .231/.290/.264 with them in 1988. Nunez reached AA the same year, but his batting line was .242/.307/.286 with the Midland Angels. The Brother Elephants signed him in 1990, and he got the first steal ine CPBL history, on March 17 against the Uni-President Lions.[1] He was also selected for the 1990 CPBL All-Star Game, and he was 0-for-3. He ended up hitting .239/.269/.302 in 63 games for the Brothers. Nunez left Taiwan after the 1990 season, and his professional career ended.[2]

Overall, Nunez hit .237/.292/.277 with 327 hits in the minor leagues.
