Biographical Information[edit]

Corbin Day played college ball at Mount Mercy University in 2018-2019. After graduation, he spent the 2020-2022 academic years at Kirkwood Community College as an assistant coach with a focus upon hitting and catching.

The Minnesota Twins hired Day in 2023 and stationed him close to home as hitting coach of the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The Kernels won the Midwest League championship that season and the team's offense led the League in runs scored & home runs while finishing third in batting average. The Twins promoted Day to hitting coach of the Wichita Wind Surge in 2024. Day received another promotion in 2025 to the major league staff as an Advance Scout, Run Production. This position was a support role for the coaching staff, not a coaching position.[1]

He became a major league coach for the first time in 2026 when he was appointed as assistant hitting coach with the Miami Marlins.

Corbin is the brother of Casey Day.
