Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Truby played in the majors from 2000 to 2003, principally as a third baseman for the Detroit Tigers and Montreal Expos.

He was a coach for the Lynchburg Hillcats in 2008 before beginning a managing career in 2009. From 2018-2021, he was the Philadelphia Phillies' minor league field coordinator, having worked continuously in their organization since 2009. In 2022, Truby moved to the Pittsburgh Pirates as minor league infield coordinator. He was bench coach of the Indianapolis Indians in 2024 then joined the Pirates' big league staff in May 2025. In 2026, his title was infield coach.
