Biographical Information[edit]
Charles Doyle was an outfielder whose professional career lasted from 1896 through 1909. Born in San Jose, CA, he began with clubs in Oakland and San Jose, then spent most of the next decade with the Sacramento Gilt Edges, Sacramento Senators, the Tacoma Tigers, the Fresno Raisin Eaters, and the Sacramento Sacts.
Doyle also managed a Sacramento club in the California League in 1899. In 1904, he served as the baseball coach at Stanford University.[1][2] He died in Sacramento, CA in 1950.
