Pitcher Casey Erickson played five seasons of minor league ball.

Originally selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 25th round of the 2004 amateur draft, Erickson did not sign, opting for college instead. He was then taken by the New York Yankees in the 10th round of the 2006 amateur draft. On June 30, 2009, he was dealt to the Pittsburgh Pirates along with Eric Fryer for Eric Hinske.

Erickson is currently pitching coach for Benedictine University at Springfield. His father, Bob Erickson, and brother, Corey Erickson, played minor league ball, while his uncle, Roger Erickson, and great uncle, Don Erickson, played in the majors.
