Biographical Information[edit]
Billy Wyatt played in the minor leagues and in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Wyatt was a soldier who worked in a base of the US Forces in Fukuoka when he signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1952 along with Marion O'Neil, and he crushed 5 homers with a .261/.311/.402 batting line in his only season in Japan. He then recorded a .240/.342/.305 batting line for the Leesburg Lakers in 1953, and he also played 49 games with a .240/.342/.305 batting line for the Natchez Indians. Wyatt crushed 3 homers with a .245/.350/.317 batting line for the Orlando C.B.s in 1954, then he hit .273/.337/.329 with 26 doubles for the Gainesville G-Men in 1955. He tied Jerry Micham for the Florida State League lead in two-baggers. Wyatt struggled with the Tifton Phillies in 1956 as his batting line was .193/.289/.232, and his professional career ended.
