Biographical Information[edit]
Marion O'Neil played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 2 years.
O'Neil was a soldier who worked in a base of the US Forces in Fukuoka when he signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1952 along with Billy Wyatt, and they were the first foreign players in Nishitetsu's history. He was 7-4 with a 2.74 ERA in his first season, and he improved to 10-7 with a 3.34 ERA. O'Neill was transferred and left Japan after that season.
Overall, O'Neil was 17-11 with a 3.09 ERA, struck out 83 and pitched 247 1/3 innings in 2 seasons in NPB.
