Atsuki Tomosugi has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Tomosugi won four Best Nine awards and a MVP in his college career, and he represented Japan in the 2022 Haarlem Baseball Week, going 1 for 6 with two walks while backing up Rui Muneyama at SS. He was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 2nd round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Kazuma Mike. Tomosugi hit .254/.287/.292 in 64 games in 2023, and he was named Lotte's starting shortstop in 2024. He played 125 games with 11 steals and a .206/.241/.234 batting line, and he was 8th in steals in the Pacific League while his 14 errors led the league's shortstops.
