Biographical Information[edit]

Adrian Lindsey was a first baseman who played in the minors for the Bartlesville Braves, Salina Millers, and Montreal Royals between 1921 and 1924. Born on August 15, 1895, in Vienna, IL, he graduated from high school in Kingfisher, OK and attended University of Kansas, where he captained the 1916 football team.[1][2]

After military service during World War I, Lindsey returned to University of Kansas as an assistant football coach from 1919 through 1921.[2] In 1921 he coached the Kansas baseball team to a 13-2 record.[3] He later coached at Bethany College, the University of Oklahoma, and again at the University of Kansas.[2] Lindsey died in Eudora, KS on October 2, 1980.[4]
