Professional Baseball[edit]
The Tenshou Baseball Club becomes a professional team, becoming Japan's second pro team. On June 21, Tenshou and the professional Shibaura Association, play the first professional baseball games in Japanese history. The set is a draw with one victory apiece. On August 30 at Shibaura Stadium, a 3-game series is played between the two teams with Shibaura winning. Two days later, the Great Kanto Earthquake occurred, serverly damaging the Shibaura Stadium and causing the Shibaura Associaton to disband.
High School Baseball[edit]
The 9th National High School Baseball Championship featured a total of 243 schools competing for 19 spots in the finals at Koshien. In the championship game Koyo Gakuin High School (Hyogo) defeated Wakayama High School (Wakayama) by a score of 5 - 2.
University Baseball[edit]
The National Three School Baseball League, a predecesor of the Kinki University Baseball League is formed by Kobe Commercial University, Osaka School of Engineering, and Osaka Prefectural Medical University. Nihon University forms a baseball club.
