May 17, 1951: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with a player to be named later, Matt Batts and $100,000 to the St. Louis Browns for Les Moss. The Boston Red Sox sent Jim McDonald (July 18, 1951) to the St. Louis Browns to complete the trade.

March 4, 1952: Purchased by the Pittsburgh Pirates from the St. Louis Browns.

May 5, 1952: Selected off waivers by the Chicago White Sox from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
