October 22, 1976: Purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays from the San Diego Padres.

December 16, 1977: Sent by the Toronto Blue Jays to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete an earlier deal made on December 6, 1977. The Toronto Blue Jays sent a player to be named later and Pete Vuckovich to the St. Louis Cardinals for Victor Cruz and Tom Underwood.

October 23, 1978: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Chicago White Sox for Jim Willoughby.
