January 14, 1963: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Ron Hansen, Pete Ward and Hoyt Wilhelm to the Chicago White Sox for Luis Aparicio and Al Smith.

December 1, 1965: Traded by the Chicago White Sox with Bill Heath to the Houston Astros for Ray Cordeiro (minors), Jack Lamabe and cash.

December 31, 1966: Traded by the Houston Astros with Bob Bruce to the Atlanta Braves for Eddie Mathews and Arnold Umbach. The Atlanta Braves sent Sandy Alomar (February 25, 1967) to the Houston Astros to complete the trade.

October 18, 1968: Purchased by the Kansas City Royals from the Atlanta Braves.
