July 14, 1913: Traded by the Milwaukee (American Association) to the Chicago White Sox for Johnny Beall and $13,500.
February 14, 1916: Sent by the Chicago White Sox to the Cleveland Indians to complete an earlier deal made on August 21, 1915. The Chicago White Sox sent a player to be named later, Braggo Roth, Ed Klepfer, and $31,500 to the Cleveland Indians for Joe Jackson. The Chicago White Sox sent Larry Chappell (February 14, 1916) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.
May, 1916: Purchased by the Boston Braves from the Cleveland Indians.
