Biographical Information

Yuya Shinto has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Shinto represented Japan in the 2022 Haarlem Baseball Week, going 1 for 12 with a double and two RBI. He was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 2nd round of the 2023 NPB draft; the scout was Noriyuki Takahashi. Tsujimoto debuted against the Hanshin Tigers on June 18, 2024. He and Haruki Hosono were the first pair of rookies to start as the battery in Tokyu/Toei/Nippon-Ham history since Takehiko Kumagami and Taju Hitokoto in 1946. Shindo was 0-for-3 in his first season, and he hit .218/.310/.346 in 60 games in the NPB Farm Leagues.
