Biographical Information[edit]
Yusuke Kinoshita played for the Tokushima Indigo Socks from 2015 to 2016, and he was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the first round of the development phase in the 2016 NPB draft. He had a 6.14 ERA in 22 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2017, and he improved to a 1.13 ERA in 33 games in 2018. That earned a spot in the top team for Kinoshita, but his ERA was 5.40 in 14 games there. He then pitched 22 games with a 3.67 ERA in the minors in 2019, and he only got 5 appearances for the big club. Kinoshita had a 4.08 ERA in 18 games in 2020, and he underwent Tommy John surgery and missed the next season. On July 6, 2011, Kinoshita collapsed while practicing, and he passed away one month later.
