Biographical Information

Yumeto Kanemaru has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kanemaru was one of the most dominant pitchers in Kansai Big 6 University Baseball League history, and he won three ERA titles and 2 MVPs in his college career. He was 21-3 with a 0.80 ERA, and he didn't allow a single run in the entire 2024 season. His 72 consecutive innings without a earned run are still the league record (as of 2025). The Chunichi Dragons, Hanshin Tigers, Yomiuri Giants and Yokohama BayStars selected him in the first round of the 2024 NPB draft, and the Dragons won the lottery for the rights to him. Kanemura debuted against the BayStars on May 5, 2025, and he went 2-6 with a 2.61 ERA in his rookie year.
