Biographical Information[edit]
Yoshitaka Terada was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 6th round of the 1970 NPB draft, and he spent his first six seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He was 6-for-32 in 1977, and he won the batting title of the Western League. The Buffaloes then traded him with Toshio Kanbe and Takehide Sato to the Yakult Swallows for Charlie Manuel and Yasunori Nagao, and he hit .242/.319/.355 in 67 games in 1979. He didn't reach the top team in 1980, and he was released. The Hiroshima Carp signed him, and Terada had a .150/.346/.150 batting line in 30 games in 1981. He announced his retirement after staying in the minors in 1982, and he coached the Nankai Hawks minor league team from 1983 to 1984.
