Yasuo Fukui played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years
Fukui was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the first round of the 1974 NPB draft, and he went 1-0 with a 2.86 ERA in 1975. He only pitched 6 games combined in the next four seasons, and he was 0-1 with a 3.18 ERA in 1990. Fukui notched a save with a 3.21 ERA in 18 appearances in 1981, and he stayed in the minors in the next two seasons. The Buffaloes then traded him with Hiroshi Moriwaki to the Hiroshima Carp for Hideji Kato and Tetsuya Ohara, but he didn't reach the top team before he announced his retirement in 1984.
Overall, Fukui was 2-3 with a 3.12 ERA, struck out 57 and pitched 127 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
