Biographical Information

Yasuhiro Hiyama was drafted by the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the first round of the 1985 NPB draft after they lost the lottery for the rights to Kazuhiro Kiyohara, but he never reached the big club before the Braves released him in 1991. He also went 3-1 with a 5.57 ERA for the Salt Lake City Trappers in 1987. Hiyama then signed with the Ssangbangwool Raiders of the Korea Baseball Organization, but he only pitched one game in 1992 then he announced his retirement due to right elbow injury. He later became a judicial scrivener
