Biographical Information[edit]

Williams Louico pitched 8 seasons in the minors and was on the Salvadoran national team.

He was signed by Baltimore Orioles scouts Carlos Bernhardt and Dave Stockstill in June 2008. [1] He was 0-6 with a 6.56 ERA that summer for the DSL Orioles. In '09, he improved to 2-3 with two saves and a 2.01 ERA for the same team. With the 2010 DSL Orioles 1, he had a 7-5, 2.71 record. He tied for 5th in the Dominican Summer League in victories. Back with the DSL Orioles in 2011, he was 6-2 with a 2.10 ERA.

Coming stateside, he was 0-7 with a save and a 6.06 ERA for the Delmarva Shorebirds in 2012, despite holding right-handed batters to a .197 average. He split 2013 between the Shorebirds (0-2, 8.31 in 10 G) and the Aberdeen Ironbirds (1-1, 7.24 in 11 G). He got another chance with the Shorebirds in 2014 and improved to 1-1 wit ha 3.94 ERA in 32 outings. In '15, he pitched for Delmarva (6.17 in 5 G) and the Frederick Keys (2-2, 5.70 in 22 G). He had gone 19=29 with 3 saves and a 4.04 ERA in 175 games as a pro.

Joining the El Salvador team for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he made two appearances, allowing four hits and three runs (two earned) in 1 1/3 IP while striking out one (Anderson Melendez). [2] He was back with them for the 2025 Central American Games. [3]
