Biographical Information[edit]

Wiley Lee played in the minor leagues and for the USA national baseball team.

Lee represented the USA in the 1986 Amateur World Series. The California Angels picked him in the 5th round of the 1987 Amateur Draft, and he hit .286/.354/.393 with 21 steals in 57 games in 1987 for the Salem Angels. Lee collected 53 steals with a solid .302/.391/.385 batting line for the Quad Cities Angels in 1988, and he was 8th in steals in the Midwest League. He also went 5-for-13 in 3 games for the AA Midland Angels that season. The speedy infielder then stole 66 bags with 8 triples and a .267/.344/.352 batting line in 1989, and he led the California League in triples and steals. Lee collected 45 steals and 6 triples with a .297/.346/.432 batting line in 102 games in Midland in 1990, and he announced his retirement.
