Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Wayne Busby played in the minor leagues from 1988 to 1994. He was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 19th round of the 1988 amateur draft. Not a strong hitter, his batting average eclipsed .250 just once -- his first campaign, when he batted .276/.338/.346 in 51 games for the GCL White Sox. He did show decent speed, stealing 11 bases in 1989 and 18 bags in 1990. Overall, he batted .227/.310/.300 with 319 hits in 445 games.

His sons Dylan Busby played in the minor leagues. Another son, Dalton Busby, played in college.
