Biographical Information

Totaro Tahara signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 1954, and he only pitched 7 innings combined for the big club in his first three seasons. He had a solid 0.29 ERA in 11 appearances in 1957, then he went 2-4 with a 3.30 ERA in 1958. Tahara only pitched 2 1/3 innings in 1959, then he announced his retirement. His brother Mototoshi Tahara also pitched in NPB.
