Biographical Information[edit]
Tetsu Miyagawa has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Miyagawa went 13-0 with a 0.94 ERA and a Best Nine in the Kankoshin Student Baseball Federation, but he went undrafted in the 2017 NPB draft and he went to Toshiba in the Industrial League. He was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants and Seibu Lions in the first round of the 2019 NPB draft, and the Lions won the lottery for the rights to him; the scout was Jun Takeshita. He pitched 49 games with a 3.83 ERA and 13 holds in 2020, but he slumped to a 6.57 ERA in 29 games in 2021. Miyagawa bounced back in 2022 as his ERA was 2.59 in 45 appearances, but he went 1-2 with a 7.16 ERA in 2023. He was then traded to the Yakult Swallows for Hiyu Motoyama, and he had a 6.75 ERA in 4 games in 2024.
