Tennessee-Virginia Athletic Conference

From BR Bullpen

The Tennessee-Virginia Athletic Conference was an NAIA conference.

The TVAC was formed in the 1985-1986 school year as the Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference by four schools leaving the Volunteer State Athletic Conference: Carson-Newman College, King College, Lincoln Memorial University, Tennessee Wesleyan College along with independent Tusculum College. With the addition of Bluefield College in 1989-1990 school year, the conference changed its name to the Tennessee-Virginia Athletic Conference, while keeping its TVAC abbreviation.

After the 1999-2000 school year the conference disbanded as Alice Lloyd College, Bluefield College, King College, Milligan College, Montreat College, Tennessee Wesleyan College, Virginia Intermont College and the University of Virginia's College at Wise all formed the Appalachian Athletic Conference along with three other schools.
