Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Taylor Siemens pitched in the Arizona Diamondbacks system from 2011 to 2013, peaking at Single-A. He was taken by the club in the 18th round of the 2011 amateur draft, a few picks ahead of pitcher Shawn Armstrong. He was signed by scout Jeff Mousser.

He went 3-1 with a 2.23 ERA in 14 games (11 starts) for the Missoula Osprey his first season, striking out 65 in 60 2/3 innings. He was a Pioneer League Post-Season All-Star that year, leading the league in ERA. He lost Pitcher of the Year honors to Blair Walters, though. In 2012, he went 9-8 with a 4.63 ERA in 32 games (18 starts) between the South Bend Silver Hawks and Visalia Rawhide and in 2013, he pitched just 1 inning for the Silver Hawks to wrap up his career. He was released on April 6 of that year.

Overall, he went 12-9 with a 3.88 ERA in 47 games (29 starts). In 188 innings, he allowed 193 hits and 69 walks (1.394 WHIP), while striking out 182 batters.
