Biographical Information

Takao Inoue was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 5th round of the 1993 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first season. He had a 3.38 ERA in 8 games for the big club in 1995, and he pitched 6 games with a 3.86 EAR in 1996. Inoue only pitched 2 innings in 1997, and he went 2-9 with a 4.03 ERA in 1998. However, Inoue stayed in the minors in the next three seasons, and he was released in 2001. He signed with the Chiba Lotte Marines, and he allowed 2 runs in 6 1/3 innings in 2002. He had a 4.76 ERA in 9 games in 2003, and he announced his retirement.
